Dear Friends of LAMP,
The ministry of LAMP has not stopped! God’s word and the gospel are shared to the ends of the earth by whatever means we can. LAMP has made the commitment to faithfully serve communities and has returned over the past 52 years to support and nurture Christian faith among our First Nations friends in northern Canada.
COVID-19 is still with us and requires, once again, a change to many of our plans. When possible, LAMP's missionaries will continue to deliver relief supplies, including masks, hand sanitizer, gloves, and resources for the local people to continue the ministry.
LAMP's airplanes are welcomed while practicing the health protocols. We have taken the opportunity to engage local people in local ministry and will provide an in-person VBS or alternate Vacation Bible School, children’s programs, online Bible studies, and personal connections from a distance through multimedia. We will continue delivering blankets, clothing, Bibles, children’s books, youth magazines, and crafts so our northern family can carry on ministering among their own people. We will continue to serve as God opens doors and opportunities.
